L’organizzazione

L’operatività del Programma Virgilio è affidata all’Associazione Tutori Volontari formata dai soci del Rotary nel 2001.
Concretamente ogni Tutore incontra periodicamente il Tutorato che gli è stato assegnato dopo un colloquio preliminare di quest’ultimo con Tutori senior attivati dalla Segreteria del Programma.

Durante i colloqui si imposta e si porta a compimento il programma di lavoro fissando gli obbiettivi, le azioni, il tempo per la verifica dei risultati, mediamente al termine di 9 -12 mesi.

Le date e il luogo degli incontri sono stabiliti dove è più conveniente per Tutore ed Imprenditore e avvengono mediamente due volte al mese e durano un paio d’ore. Altre forme di comunicazione vengono chiaramente utilizzate.

Aspetti organizzativi

L’attività complessiva del PV si sviluppa su tre livelli:

  • Consiglio direttivo dell’Associazione composto dai consiglieri nominati dall’Assemblea che stabilisce gli obbiettivi di sviluppo, le azioni di promozione ed espansione del Programma nel territorio e verso le Istituzioni.
  • Comitato di tutori seniores per l’accoglienza che raccoglie, tramite la segreteria, le richieste di assistenza
  • Tutti i tutori attivi, i soci rotariani specialisti e i volontari in staff

The Organization

The Virgilio Program is operated by the Association of Voluntary Tutors created by members of the Rotary in 2001.

Each Tutor meets periodically with the Pupil who has been assigned to him / her after an initial interview with the Pupil has been undertaken to ascertain the scope of assistance which needs to be provided. Obviously the needs and requirements of each case is individual and is tailored accordingly. Such assistance provided is managed by the Secretariat of the Program.
During such interviews, key performance targets, agreed actions and review deadlines are implemented after a work and development plan is put in place. A result review is also undertaken, normally within 9 – 12 months of implementation.
Such meetings are undertaken in a convenient venue for all parties. On average such meetings occur bi-monthly and last around two hours. Obviously in the intervening period other communication methods are used between tutor and pupil.

Other Organization Aspects

The global activity of the Virgilio Program is spread over three levels:
The Governing Council of the Association formed by the members appointed by the Assembly that fixes the development targets, the promotion measures and the expansion actions of the Program within the territory and towards the institutions.

  • The Committee of Senior Tutors for Tutees Reception that collates, through the secretariat, the requests for support
  • All active tutors, the specialist Rotarian members and all the volunteers
